CT Teen Charged In Connection To Death Of 22-Year-Old Found Dead Inside Car

A Connecticut teenager has been charged with manslaughter in the death of another man who he allegedly shot while firing a gun in the man's vehicle.

Charles Hill, age 19, of New Haven, was arrested on Wednesday, March 9, in connection with the Saturday, Jan, 15 shooting death of 22-year-old Herman Bellamy in Hamden.

Hill was allegedly firing a gun inside Bellamy's vehicle at another vehicle when a bullet struck Bellamy, who was driving, killing him, said Det. Sean Dolan, of the Hamden Police Department.

Following an intensive investigation, Hill was developed as a suspect and was arrested on a warrant, Dolan said. 

He was charged with manslaughter with a firearm and is in the custody of the state Department of Corrections. 

Hill was previously charged with carrying a pistol without a permit and illegal discharge of a firearm in connection with the case, Dolan noted.
